Paul J. Cooney
Principal Agent
Paul serves as the agency principal and is responsible for overall agency management. He has over twenty years experience in the insurance and brokerage industry with previous experience in banking securities. Paul is originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and graduated with a BA degree in Economics from Ithaca College. Paul was also a four year letterman in football and remains a sports enthusiast coaching his children's teams. He and his wife Julia are proud parents of four active children.
Julia Cooney
Business Manager
Julia serves in an agency management support role. Her education, experience, and skills are leveraged to provide leadership and oversight of the agency’s stated, “improvement initiatives, objectives, and goals." Julia is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BS in Organizational and Public Communication. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina she's always called some part of the Old North State home. Julia and her husband Paul are proud parents to four children.
April Echstenkamper

April is originally from Columbus Ohio, and a graduate of Ohio University with a BS in Organizational Communications. She has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years, serving in various corporate and agency roles during that time. -April and her husband Karl have been living in the Lake Norman area for over 20 years. They have 3 grown children, Adam, Allison and Emily and 1 grandchild, Shepherd. April and her husband enjoy traveling, running, and hanging out with their golden-doodle Rosie.
Colby Hales
Business Development
Colby serves in the business development role, and is responsible for all client relations, marketing, and assisting in sales across the agency. He is a graduate of Liberty University with a BS in Business, and Strategic Communications. Colby is a North Carolina native as he grew up in Winston-Salem, and moved to the Lake Norman area after graduating college. He is passionate about building relationships, and helping others! Colby and his wife, Alyson, have a bernedoodle
